Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Social Training Club ("the Club", "we") runs the online training service at socialtrainingclub.uk. This policy explains what personal information we hold about members and why.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store or see your actual password).
- Health screening (PAR-Q) — your answers to the seven Physical Activity Readiness questions, collected when you join. This is special category (health) data under UK GDPR and is collected with your explicit consent, solely so your coach can keep your training safe.
- Training records — the sessions, exercise results, benchmark tests, nutrition entries, water intake and check-in messages you choose to log.
- Technical essentials — a session cookie to keep you signed in. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.
How we use it
- To run your membership: your programme, progress charts, nutrition targets and coach check-ins.
- To keep training safe: your coach reviews your PAR-Q before programming; flagged answers are used only to advise you to seek medical clearance.
- Club features you opt into: if you turn on club participation, other signed-in members see your first name, last initial, attendance, club points and benchmark results. Your body weight, nutrition, health answers and coach notes are never shared with other members.
- Payment is arranged directly with your coach; we store no card or bank details in the app.
Legal bases
We process account and training data to perform our contract with you; PAR-Q health data with your explicit consent (which you can withdraw by asking us to delete it); and security logs in our legitimate interest of keeping the service safe.
Where it lives and how long
Data is stored with Cloudflare (our hosting provider) and is accessible only to your coach. We keep your records while you are a member. If you leave, ask your coach to delete your account — your sign-in and records are removed from the club workspace. We may retain minimal records where we have a legal obligation to do so.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted at any time — contact your coach or email the Club. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we handle your data.
Who we share it with
No one, beyond the hosting infrastructure above. We don't sell data, run ads, or share your information with third parties. Exercise demonstration videos are embedded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced player; YouTube only sets cookies if you play a video.
